Tour Description:

Where the brown bears meet the salmon, Brooks Falls is famous for its density of brown bears catching Alaska's wild salmon. This tour offers an up-close opportunity to view Alaska brown bears enjoying their summer feast in Katmai National Park. Enjoy 7 to 8 hours of your day flying and viewing one of the largest mammals in North America.

You’ll spend 4 hours at Brooks Camp, to get to the falls it is approximately 1 and a half miles to the main viewing platforms. Along the way, it is a combination of gated walkways, bridges, and maintained gravel trails.

Our Brooks Falls tour is a self-guided trip. When you arrive, your pilot will walk you to the ranger station where you will attend and graduate from “Bear School”. Because of the nicely maintained trails and secure walkways, Brooks Falls is suitable for a majority of people!

When it is time to return to Homer, we offer an additional “flight-see” on the way back. This means our skilled pilots will fly you through the mountains, over glaciers, and around a volcano.
